Wow, makes me want to visit this place for the spectacle. I see fish stores similar to car shops, you always need to shop around and DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Every once in awhile you will find a decent LFS where the workers are honest and helpful, but even then you have to be careful. Although it is a business, it is also a hobby, which makes me think people would be more honest. I believe the main problem is most of the "facts" or opinion. Although this is also just my opinion...

I agree. I was telling my wife how angry I was that he's in it only to make money. He tried to "cut me a deal" on some xinia for 70$ a head I laughed and couldn't take anymore and just walked away

You know, saving someone from wasting money can make them come back to your store and be a great referral. There is one local store that I refuse to go to, so even though extreme marine is 20 min plus away, I would rather go there.

That guy doesn't care about his livestock. I was there once to buy a light, and a young guy came in looking for "a green fish", because his girlfriend wanted one. He said he knew NOTHING about keeping fish, not even goldfish, and the owner immediately asked him if he was interested in buying some CORALS. Really sad. I left and will never go back.
TAT is pretty good, if you talk to the owner. Some of the employees have given me some wrong info here and there.
