So I decided to go a little bigger. My new 60 gallon tank still wrapped up. The wife's not to happy it's on the dinning room table.

To most it would be a frag tank . I like my tanks shallow .So this is going to be half frag have reef tank. Yes , I painted in the house. The dodger game was on and had to watch it!! Not sure what the final color is going to be. Letting the wife pick out the final color so I might have a Hot pink , peach, or some crazy color tank stand. LOL!!!!

My tank and stand is finished!!! Added fresh water last night and tested it for leaks. No leaks!!!! It's ready to go. It's a little louder then I wanted ( water from overflow in PVC to sump) but I will keep my eye out for something to insulate it with. Might cut down some of the noise

Black is more unique and can make corals on the sand bed pop but white sand has the advantage of being reflective and helping grow your corals and will help you notice if you have algae growth faster seeing as its harder to see things growing on the black sand.

Fiji pink is Carib seas #1 Selling product they have. I have 40lbs sitting in bags waiting for the new tank to be set up.

I would go with a combination of Fiji pink and special reef grade mix the two because Fiji pink is a little two fine so you mix the special grade to make it so its not flying every where

That's why I have been waiting on adding sand. With the wp25 running in the tank Im afraid of a sand storm. Maybe when sisterlimonpot can mod my wp25 it won't be a issue.
