Hey all,
I was looking at my Dr.'s Foster and Smith catalog last night and saw that there seems to be a lot of different bacteria addatives for the marine tanks. Everything from Nitrate reducers to Carbon sources that are better than Vodoka. So this got me to wondering, are these just snake oil? Or is their some merit in these products? If there is merit in them, which ones work and which ones do you steer clear of?
I want to start working on my tank again now that I'm at home and one of the things I want to work on is getting my parimiters in check along with biodiversitey. So that is why I'm looking at these. I'm also going to be going back to what has worked for me in the pasy, Seachem Reef Builder and Reef adavantage calcium to maintain my Alk and calc.
