    Here is a posting from socalireefs.com :
    Instead we are using Live rock to get more Bacteria in the sump, we are currently running Bacteria House the best Japanese Filter Media in our sump. They produce a ton of bacterias in the sump to support your main tank and your frag tank. it has lot of opening little holes from bacteria to grow.
    They say you can eliminate using chetto.

    Looks just like the ceramic media that has been around for decades. It is just a 'home' for bacteria, you still need to provide the bacteria and carbon source for it to feed off of. IMO it is not very useful in a reef tank environment. There are much better methods for growing bacteria in a reef tank. I think the ceramic media is better suited for Fish Only / Predator tanks. Just my opinion.
