No that would be longer like hair algae. Its some type of turf algae.

Can you post a larger or or more close up pic? It's possible for it to be a type of daisy polyp as I have a brown version but my first guess would be bryopsis. Is it feather-y looking?

Not bryopsis! They are a type of clove polyp similar to the Japanese blue cloves but brown. obviously..
How knows maybe they will turn blue.. I have the blue and it looks awesome covering the rocks. Unless you totally hate it, I'd leave it be.
BTW what kind of lighting do you run?

I don't hate it, but it is spreading a little too fast for my taste. I'll probably try some kalk paste on the areas i'm not happy with.
