    Protein Skimmers? Empty Protein Skimmers?

What would be the best bet on a skimmer? Im setting up a 60 gallon display and a 30 gallon sump and striving for a mixed reef. My price range is about $300.

Hey stranger its been awhile! I would go with the SWC Cone skimmer for that budget but don't know what are your requirements. I used this skimmer when my Bubble King pump died, I chose thee SWC as a backup because of the small footprint but I went back to the BK when the pump was replaced.

You can find a used ASM G3 for $150.. that will leave you extra room to add on another 150 gallons if you choose to add a frag tank, or run a super heavy bioload Smile

You could look into the diy avast cone skimmer. I heara lot of good things about those. Or a super reef octopus. Those are pretty nice too.

Or you can just take the ASM g3 I have sitting out in my shed and get it out of my way. Then all you need to buy is a pump. Wink If your going to be at the next club meeting, I can bring it with me.
