The frag tank Empty The frag tank

Post by Blawson Sun Oct 07, 2012 1:34 am

This one is my recent project. I have a Red Sea 250, but I honestly miss a smaller tank. I put this one together first to slim down my corals and then to convert it into a shoal low reef. Had the tank and sump made by advance acrylics. Display is 20x14x16 deep. Center overflow and two side returns. Went really simple with the sump, drain/skimmer chamber 1 then return with live rock chamber 2. It has a third sealed chamber to hold 4 gallons of top off. Main return is a mag7 and then a mj1200 that splits into a reactor (carbon/gfo). Running a NAC3 skimmer - nice small size and great skimmate. Lighting is an AI Nano. Everything controlled by a reef angel controller and monitored remotely (sig below). The corals in there have been sitting for about a month already and seeing much better color and already good growth. Here's some pics:

You should get a table for our FRAG event.

Lol I just posted that on his welcome thread! The frag tank looks great, as do your corals. I would like to see come equipment pics if you get bored.

Thanks guys. Not sure about the table - really it's not that many frags. I will get some shots today of the equipment and going to see if I can get some better close ups.

I have just as many frags but I'm sharing a table with a buddy. It's going to be a fun day to hang with all the reefers!

Well then, I know what table to check out at the swap. Smile

Are you brining a frag tank or will there be some there. Never actually set up anything at a swap, always just sold them as I frag them.

Bringing a frag tank with a DIY led kit. I'm just selling a bunch of cheap frags, nothing fancy.
