Wearing out my favors

Once again I need the help of the local reefing community to load a fish tank onto my trailer.

This is going to be a straight and forward load. Last weekend I bought my 300 Gallon retirement tank in Moorpark the tank is empty and sitting in the garage. All we have to do is move it 10 feet into my enclosed trailer and strap it down that's it, I won't be taking it out of the trailer for some time.

I need 4 guys to meet me there and be willing to do some heavy lifting. The tank and the stand are attached so we will be moving both components as one (makes it easier)

Derrick did some research for me and said that the tank is roughly 350 pounds.

I left the time open just so we can all agree on a time. I know its last minute on a 3-4 day weekend, but hopefully I'll have some takers... anyone?

I should be able to help, afternoon is best for me.

A big thanks to Mike, Luke, Derrick, and especially Cory for making the 2o minute to 1 hour drive for 2 minutes worth of heavy lifting.

Terra wants to set it up already, I left it on the trailer, maybe we'll revisit the option in a couple months.

SET IT UP!! That way you can thoroughly make sure everything is good to go. And you have a reason to turn up those MP60's

There's a slight problem, I don't have the lights, plumbing, refugium or any other equipment to support this larger tank. It'll have to be a slow process in purchasing everything slowly. I always have buyers remorse when I spend so much right up front, if I break it up in small spurts then I feel better with myself.

yea I here ya. That free 150 acrylic tank was picked up so I missed out that would have been perfect for a sump/fuge

Could you go with a LED/T5 Hybrid and use what you have. Also, you could run your radions higher intensity. I don't think you should set it up tomorrow, but it would be cool to see you start working on it and have it set up in 6 or so months. Remember what we were talking about, with lights don't need to cover every inch of the tank, only where you are growing corals, well, you could also group your lights anticipating the rock work, until you buy more lights. Also, you can pick up a laguna pump for about 150, which could run carbon and gfo reactor as well as your return pump.

I want to stick with the radions, they have proven to be great lights for me. I only need 2 more to fill the entire tank with enough light to continue to grow sps. I'm set with return pumps as well, I have 2 iwaki's and another external that I got from Paul.

Really all I need is:

- set up the bean animal design
- Make the sump
- Run all the plumbing
- 2 radions
- and any other little nit noid stuff.

Also if I set it up here, I will have to make a stand/canapy for it and cover it with oak....

I plan to move it into the garage after I build that mahogany entertainment center for Dudley.
