Grow out Contest

MASVC will be having 2 grow out competitions. One of Zoanthids and one of a Monitpora. The zoanthid growout contest will be 6 months and the monti a year. Pictures must be submitted monthly on their specific thread for each person participating(those threads will come after the distribution of corals.) The price will be 15$ for members and 20$ for non-members for each grow out contest. The prize will be 100$ gift card to one MASVC Sponsor that the winner chooses. There will be two winners, one for Zoanthids and one for the Monti. If you would like to buy more than one frag, you may, however, you must submit a photo each frag that you purchase.

The pick-up for the corals will be at Fantastic frags, during the June meeting. IF for any reason you can not attend, but would like to be included in the grow out contest, please PM me, and we can work out the details.

If you would like to participate in the grow out competition, you can either pre pay with paypal(PM me for the club's address if you don't already have it) or you can pay at the meeting. If you will pay at the meeting, please send me a courtesy PM, so I can account for the number of frags we will need.

Mine has grown like at least an inch in diamater since the end of February. Im going to place mind to were it grows into the piece I have! haha I will win for sure!!!

I think we will all notice a huge growth bubble in one month.

We just got new information. We will now have 3 contests! frag of fantastic frags zoa,frag of Stewart monti, and frag of fantastic frag monti. The cost is still 15 for members, 20 for non members. The montis are a 2 for1 price. So zoas, 15$, and two frags of monti for another 15$, 30$ total for both competitions. Although there is a 2 for1 in entering, there will be three winners of 100$ gift card!

I don't have room to grow a monti frag but definitely can make room for zoas. Are the zoas going to be on a piece of rock or on a frag disc?

I have a rock thats dry we can break up for plugs.

Bring the rock already broken...it makes a mess that I dont wanna clean up in my garage

Montis were growing fast in my tank before I went to sun light. Hopefully they will grow again with the sun light and LED's.

OK, looks like I'm in for both. Working out the final details. But you guys will get a head start on me, but I'm not worried. As long as Nikecivic doesn't kill MY frags before I get home.

Crusty, the frags are bagged and ready to go. They'll be floating in my desk tank in the morning.

yes, I also heard that if you spot feed aiptasia x to those corals, they grow faster. so Mike, don't forget to take that with you.

Wow what's up with that, someone really wants to win the contest. My question is there bipartisan judge to declare a winner? Maybe Paul or someone who isn't in the contest can decide.
