Ok this is the center point of tank and he is a heck of a fish. I know its just a sailfin but he/she has been tank raised since about a half inch. I got this from my friend who is studying to be a marine biologist, he had it for 2 years and I have had im about a year and a half. Its never had lateral line any sort of issues never ich velvet ect. Its about 4 1/2 to 5in fins are perfect not torn in any way, eats like a pig hand feeds and loves people. Anytime someone walks into my room he quickly swims out for attention. he loves to play in the current of my wave makers and just constantly moves. It pains me to type this as I am looking at him swimming so happily but I know he is just getting too big for my tank. I would love to get $40 for him but I am open for negotiations and or trades. He I had a blue tang and foxface that he got along with fine but if they got out of line he let them know who was boss. I would like to get a smaller tang so if you have one I would be open to trade that way. And he really needs at least a 100gallon tank.

yea he might be cool I would get rid of you yellow tang just because of the similar shape, mine has been with a blue tang before so I think it would be safer to keep the blue tang

unfortunately I would have to agree, especially because I would love to see him go into your tank because then I would get to see him at all the meetings

can you retrace your steps and come up with some plausible ideas?

well I tested and these are my perams
Amonia untracable
nitrite untracable
nitrate 3ppm
phosphates .25ppm
One of my large turbo snails died and I didn't notice until today but it has been completely devoured by my hermits, maybe I had a nitrate spike. I think it was that it was too crowded, it was nice and fat eating everything no ich, no velvet. Its body literally looked perfect no nips or anything. It constantly picked at the sand and when it would poop sand would always come out too so Im thinking that maybe it ate too much sand? I honestly have no Idea

I doubt nitrates were the culprit, in order for nitrates to be toxic to fish it has to be way way up there in the couple hundreds ppm.
these things happen, I would suspect some sort of internal parasite. but that is purely just a guess.
