The other morning I was woken up by my cell phone delivering a text message from Reeftronics.net informing me that it hasn't been able to receive information from my Neptune controller in over an hour. I went down to check on things and realized that the tank was abnormally quiet, turns out that the GFCI tripped, I reset the circuit interrupter and the tank sprang back to life with pumps turning back on and the normal hum coupled with the sound of water flowing was restored.
The big thing about this particular day was that my family and I were heading up north for a couple days and if I didn't receive that text, there's probably a good chance that I wouldn't have noticed that the gfci was tripped.
Because the power was restored rather quickly there were no ill effects to the tank.
I'll have to say that this indecent alone was well worth signing up for Russ' free service.
And for that I am extremely thankful for what Reeftronics has done for my tank.
