I need to get some more live rock for my tank. I dont want to pay 5-10 dollars at the LFS for their live rock. Should I get some base rock from Amazon and cure it my self or someone has some hookups to get live rock for a "affordable" price.

You should be able to get LR from local reefers for $2/lb. I would try Reef Central, Socalireefs or craigslist. If you want to try dry rock, go with the Bulk Reef Supply pukani dy rock.

Re: WTB Live Rock
No worries Ace, I wanted to get it live and it would be a hassle to cure it and then put it onto a tank for me. So i decided against it.

Re: WTB Live Rock
You guys, just a tip on getting "live" rock. It's not smart to do, you NEVER know what is on the rock. There can be leaching phosphates, hard to rid algae, coral pests, fish disease, and other things you want to keep out of your tank. Best place to get rock is marcorock.com guaranteed no organically in the rock as well as ultra low to no phosphate leaching in curing/cycling process. Remember this hobby is generally not cheap so learn from others (my) mistakes and go with dead dry rock with a long heavy curing process. Also, remember patience is everything in this hobby. I have been without a tank for 5 months because I am in the process of building a system that will in theory have no problems. I'm not saying go all out on your system even tho I am, just remember every penny you save expect to spend it later down the road and then some.
