I have Frags for trade - ORA Purple Undata, ORA Spongodes, and Rainbow Stylophora

ORA Purple Undata - I have a few of these ranging from 1.5 in sq to 4 in sq. It's growing to fast and running out of room. Thus I keep breaking the main colony. This is one neat coral that can really color up under intense lighting. These frags need a good home. You can see pieces of this all around my tank.

ORA Spongodes - I have one decent size frag that I had to cut off to keep from attacking my Purple Stylo.


Rainbow Stylophora - I had a beautiful mother colony that Stn'd during an alk problem. Anyway, I salvaged a few pieces that are thriving again. This is a real small frag but encrusting well and growing fast.

Awesome! I'd love to trade with you!!! Good idea being that there are so many of us local reefers on this forum that have healthy, thriving tanks full of stony corals. Silly me, I break off pieces everytime I clean my tank...being it's teeming with SPS goodness. I'll glue a couple fraggy victims to rubble and we're good! See you on the flip-side...

Seriously...no takers? I guess ORA is so yesteryear. 2014 is all about Steve Tyree special editions with an an official Reef Farmers stamp on the bottom? I guess I'll have to donate all my frags (again) to TADs in Thousand Oaks for a small chunk of live rock. Maybe the owner will actually break me of a small piece of the Teal Stag Acro he's got in his display tank. Probably not.

you're probably right, it's funny how we pay top dollar for something today and tomorrow you can't even give it away.

That and us Californians are so spoiled, anywhere else these wouldn't last.

You can donate them to the raffle at the next meeting...

I don't think it's so much as the names as it is most sps keepers in the area have most of these pieces. A year ago I would have been all over these but now if I put these in my tank I know they will thrive but they will also take over quickly. Not sure exactly what I am getting at but these are a hard sell in our area. These pieces are pretty much bullet proof and if you are just getting into sps these are ideal. Good luck with getting rid of these I'm sure someone will swoop them up.

I'm not interested in any of your corals but I do have some montipora that I need to trim back. If you're interested, maybe you can do a pay it forward type thing. You can get a few pieces from me and hook shrum up.

I have orange monti, purple undata (Idaho grape), seasons greetings/redhot chilli peppers. I have digi's too but theyre the Orange, green and sunset ones... common ones.

Sadly I can't make it as one of my kids has an event running 2-4 (of course...just like my son's baseball practice is always on Monday...when I have my adult basketball league).

This said, I can meet you both virtually anywhere in Ventura being it's a short drive from my house. I'll be back fro L.A. probably after 5 p.m. Also, I'll be available from 10a.m. to 12 noon.

Or if Shrum1340 attends you can pay it forward to him and he and I can meet up.

I think we're waiting on shrum to reply. I think he's tied up with other non reef related things at the moment.

I'm interested in the rainbow stylo but do not have anything to trade for it. If you had a dollar figure in mind then leme know!

I'm still waiting for shrum1340 to respond. I'll give him a 2-3 more days as I know we all get busy with jobs/careers/school and family things. If he bows out over this time, and if sisterlimonpot is amenable, I'll extend the same deal to you, which is you can have them on a pay it forward trade. If you only want the Rainbow Stylo I can donate the remainder at the next meeting or hold them for shrum1340 for a future date.

I don't have any of the frags you mentioned to trade but would you be willing to sell them for cash? I would to add a peice or two to my reef. It is pretty baron still these days.

Lido - I always have frags to give away as I am constantly trading and constantly pruning. I should easily have some purple undata left and planning to prune a bright-pink birdsnest soon. I also have a "brown" birdsnest morph ready to go that easily morphs fluorescent green and yellow under bright light. Note: I don't like taking cash as there are sponsors on this forum that have much better stock for the money.

Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Once some of the nicer frags i bought start growing out i'd be happy to return the favor. I have a few favias and acros I have bought recently but they are still much to small to frag.

Well then that means I have to clean up my tank. I'm around all day tomorrow. I have a purple undata and birdsnest available now. I can also cut up my neon green candy cane coral..but you can decide if you want it when you're here. I'll PM you my info.

I appreciate the vote of confidence but my tank is nothing special. Mostly, it's because I've been slumming it with cheap, fast growing coral. This said, after these last couple give-aways/trades, it will be a another couple months before I have anything to share again. Note: a lot of what I was trading, especially in the beginning, were prolific growers like candy cane coral, Xenia, and green star polyps.

I think I've posted more in two days than I have in the whole year since joining this forum. Normally I'm busy as hell this time of year but the drought has drastically slowed down the seasonal side of my business. Thus, taking advantage of the downtime and messing with the tank...
