If you were to QT a tank for being sick, what would be the steps to get him back helthy? I have a 1 spot foxface that is looking rough(scale is peeling in one spot)
I haven't had a sick fish before, so I don't know what I need to do. Thanks

You'll have to remove him and treat in a hospital tank separate from your corals and inverts. Take one of your 10 gallons and set itup for a QT tank, the hard part is going to be the cycle, with the fish in the newly set up 10 gallon there's going to be a cycle so you're going to have to watch for the ammonia spike and be ready to constantly do daily water changes until the ammonia is back down to 0.

Another way is to sacrifice one of your rocks from your display that already has beneficial bacteria on it and but it in the 10g hoping for an instant cycle.

After that's taken care of you then have to determine what the foxface has so you can treat him.

the bad thing is, that if the foxface has it so does everything in your tank, so you may have to treat all your fish in the QT.
