What up masvc!!

Hello masvc im Rafael and have been in the hobby for about 8 years now im originally from south oxnard where i started reefing and have been moving up and down the coast off and on to were i currently reside in atascadero dragging my setups along lol!! I currently have a 90 gal mixed reef with a 30 gallon sump that i upgrade too from a 46gal bowfront that i had setup for a couple years I started this build with an awsome deal off cl which included a 90 tank with stand and a 30 which i turned into a 3 chamber sump. I wished i would have taken befeore and after pics ofthe setup cause when i got home the wifey couldnt belive i spent money on it..lol itwas i lil ruff but 6 months of accumulating parts and a lil elbow grease and i was able to transfer my46 bowfront into this badboy!! The tank is now a lil over a year old so heres some pics of the build and ome current to follow

[img][/img] i got 5 led stunner strips royalblue for sum pop with reflectors and bought a 5' L channel aluminum strip from the depot and some aluminum solder from harbor freight and cut&bent and welded a frame to hold them in.

the back of the setup with 2-1" returns with insulation to help with noise i used u-tubes instead of drilling the back and drilled siphon breaks in the tubes

[img][/img] moved it into place after finished plumbing and mounted a shelf above the tank to hang the light from . The light i started with was an aquaticlife 36" 6 bulb t5 which was later replaced with my current hamilton 48" 6 bulb fiji sun

Funny yet scary story here as i was setting up my system transfering the 46 bow into the 90 my wifey which was 7 1/2 months prego was moving a small dresser around and thought she pinched a back muscle .. well i continued filling the tank and transfering everything when my wifey said she was gonna go to her dr with the motherinlaw cause the back was buggin and she said shell be back in a little .. Well i finished filling and transfering everything in and om my phone rings and its the wifey telling me to hurry to the hospital that my lil boy was gonna be born early so i flipped all the power on grabed my 10 year old daughter called my brother inlaw to top off/ babysit the tank and bamm i was gone .. It was a long next 2 weeks as we were stuck in the hospital due to high biliruben which cleared within time , and my brotherinlaw held the fort down making sure nothing leaked or went wrong tank wise since i filled it turned on the power and ran out the door lol ..too my suprise everything worked out really good my boy is now 1 and healthy as can be and the tank is 1 day older more like 19hrs lol and everything transfered with no problem!!! Wooohooo!!!!

Looks like a nice set up. I like the herbie overflow more than a traditional durso. The return has an ocean motion right? How do you like it?

Thnks dwolson2!! its a scwd "squid" im running its the 1" and so far so good i really like it no problems and i like how it keeps the current switching with just the return
