I have about 200 ocellaris clownfish to give away that I raised, as well as a bunch of corals (neon green toadstool leathers, duncans, zoas, SPS). Just thought I would offer them for the people down south since I have more than I can give away in my area (Lompoc). Sorry, I will not ship, but can meet up in Santa Barbara on weekends if there is enough interest. I would rather give them away to fellow reefers before they go to the LFS's in the area. Here are some sample videos of some of the items. First video is just a small sample of the clownfish I have.

Last year it took me about 6 months to get rid of 100 clownfish, and my corals are always growing / being fragged, so I would say this is far from a limited time offer. Wink If anyone in your club makes it up to Lompoc they are welcome to collect for others down south that want some items (thinking maybe some of the military members may travel up to VAFB on occasion?).

Corals: Several multi headed Duncans (tabling type), 2 large frags or colonies at this point of Sunny D zoas, 2 3 polyp frags of Rasta Zoas, tons of green toadstools, confusa montipora, spongodes montipora, lots of platinum candycanes, green psamacora, small frag of blastos, and a softball size rock full of those common green/brown giant palys (that I am doubting I will ever get rid of since no one wants those).

Of course the clownfish, but they are still a little tiny at this point and not quite ready for a big tank, but if someone was going to setup a small 5-10G tank they could easily put 2 to 4 of these baby clownfish in one and make it a nice little desktop tank. They are eating spectrum pellets and frozen cyclops now. From my experience last year I figured I would post them up as soon as they were eating pellets because I know it is going to take 6+ months to get rid of them all.

Yes, they are free. I have a philosophy I have followed for the past 20 years since getting into the hobby, which is to never take money for animals I grow. Smile My way of giving back to the hobby and the oceans.

My hope is that others try and follow the 'Don't Break the Chain' philosophy with free corals they receive (give away first 3 frags, after that you can do whatever you wish). That isn't a requirement, just a hope to see the pay it forward mentality living on.

PM me for address if you are willing to drive up to Lompoc. I am available weeknights after 5 and weekends. I know it is a long drive for most on this forum which is why I would suggest someone collecting for multiple people and maybe split the gas if someone was to come all the way up. Otherwise I make a monthly trip down to Aquatic Designs in Santa Barbara on a weekend and can coordinate to meet there. Unfortunately I don't make it much further south than that these days.

I dig your style. Most defiant on giving away stuff. I have a few guys I have been helping get started.

Thanks Luckyfrags for making the long trip and helping clear our the mess of frags I had. It is nice to be able to see my sandbed again instead of frags and egg crate.

Most of the coral frags are gone now but I have enough from the colonies that I can always frag more, but until I get more interest I will just let the colonies grow so I don't fill up my sandbed with frags again. Still have plenty of baby clownfish and sure I will have them for many more months as they grow up.

Anyone know why I can't send or receive PM's on this forum? Kind of hard to give stuff away for free when people can't contact me in PM's. I can't even send a message to a mod/admin about the issue so I am posting it here.

Sorry, but the administrator has prevented you from sending private messages.

No problem! Nice meeting you and thanks for taking some of the clownfish although I can't even notice any gone. Should have given you more than a dozen. lol.

Take your time on pics, I am really interested in seeing how good those bleached frags of spongodes color up. They should be bright neon green in about a month, brighter than the confusa monti I gave you and more green than yellow. Super hardy (as you can see by them still being alive after falling behind the rocks for over a month) and fast grower. Feel free to trade any corals you don't want/duplicates with other people for corals you don't have. I don't mind people doing that with corals I give away, actually I encourage it.

It's like Christmas for reef-keepers. I head by your way all the time on business, travelling to Morro Bay, Paso Robles, etc (Environemtal Consultant and Sales...as I've mentioned). Last week, I was just at the Waste Water Treatment Plant (Mission Hills CSD) for with a flow meter application. I'll let you know hen I'm up again and perhaps I can meet you somewhere in Lompoc.
