The one that the club has is pretty much useless, It has no screen and I have tried every setting on my multi meeter to try and figure it out. You are more than welcome to try it out, One thing I ask is for you to become a paid member of the club ($22). Jimmy and the little guy may be of more help then me on getting it to work.

Don't mind the $22. I am not great with electronics. I would be useless.

LOL, you have to remove the Cap Wink
But you put the meter on ohms, then multiply bya number. I'm not sure what it is, but google would tell me.....

    FTFY

MASVC has a par meter for the club members to use (one of the many benefits of being a MASVC member) Smile

Set the meter to mV (direct current) and attach the 2 leads from the multimeter to the red and black wire of the par meter (most multimeter leads are red and black as well so it's as easy as hooking up red to red and black to black.) Don’t worry about the third wire on the par meter.

remove the cover of the par meter and place it where you want to take a reading. The multimeter display will give a value in millivolts (mV) and all you have to do is convert that number by multiplying it by 5 which will give you PAR.

Your right Jimmy, my memory must be getting bad. I'm not sure how to program it, but it would be kind of cool to make the arduino do the math and make a "controller" for it...

very simple stuff, we just need to get a small 3-4 number digital display and an atmega chip and we'll be in business.
