    Hey I just got me new hydrometer but it looks like it's not calibrated right and I was just wondering if any one has some extra fluid to calibrate it or were can I purchase it ?

    Because if a hydrometer I pretty sure you can't calibrate those but if it a refractameter just use fresh ro/di water and calibrate it with that its the same thing as using calibration fluid

    My bad it's a refractometer I thought it had to be calibration fluid oh we'll I guess ill do it with RO ... Thanks

    Np drew you can get calibration fluid but not nessary because ro does the same thing always glad to help

    calibrating with tap water will get you in the ball park. but don't rely on it to be accurate. I have calibration fluid if you want.to swing by we can calibrate it to 1.025. that way you can trust your refractometer.

    Calibrate it with refractometer fluid and you can calibrate it to 1.026 sg. You just need a few drops. I can lend you some at the next meeting or anywhere in port Hueneme during my lunch break. Send me a pm.

    where in Oxnard are you? I'm over by saviers and hueneme road. Why not swing by with your refactometer and we can calibrate it.
