    Surprise Surprise!! Empty Surprise Surprise!!

Post by Sandman Mon Sep 10, 2012 8:25 pm

So today as I was walking by my tank I noticed that my tri-color had fallin over. I reached in to pick it up, and at that moment I was supprised by a sharp pain in the web of my pinky finder. I jerked back, broke the coral, and splashed water all of the place. My female clown continued to come after me until I removed my hand from the tank.

I was not expecting that at all!

I have an HQI bulb now. No more LED's at the moment. I might eventually get LED's if I am having problems keeping the tank cool. For now though all is well. The piece that broke is really small, like .5" so you can have it if you want it.

Ya, I didn't expect it; probably why I yelled when it happened.

Did your clowns lay eggs? I have heard of them being aggressive if they have.

I think they are just punks. They have always been very protective of there nem. Anytime I get near it they ram my hand. If a big hand came into my house I would attack it too.

My female draws blood every time she bites me, this last time was in the web of my fingers too. She's getting really aggressive to the point that I can't stick my hand in on her side of the tank. I'm seriously thinking about moving the torch coral (the one they practically live in) to the center of the tank.

I've had several clowns over the years that have attacked me when I was cleaning the tank.

Worst one was my female gold striped maroon clown, she'd draw blood sometimes. Hurt like hell.

I would say Irish.. I just spent about 10 minutes with my hand in the tank and was pelted by both male and female. They were really ticking my off too! I finally got around to building the rock work in my new tank, which was difficult after scaping the 187! Ill post pics tomorrow once the water clears up.
