I've had the club Nem in my tank for years now and never used a foam cover.

testing your levels and finding your daily range/load, then using one of the calculators online to figure out your dosing schedule.

So test lets say tomorrow at 8 am then test the next day at 8am also and how much it drops is how much i need to dose each day? Should i worry about getting the levels spot on before doing that?

Test Calc Alk and Mag, Dose all three the same day, test all 3 the next day, record this info, test 1 week later to determine how much prams went down then divide it by 7 and plug all these numbers into the BRS dosing calculator and BAM your done.

Umm I would get levels up to slightly higher then they should be then start the 7 day calculation period. I would not go based on what is used up in 1 day as it may not be as accurate.

you never get a good idea of how much growth you have until you see the results from pictures. I never thought I had that good of growth on some things until I compared pictures and saw that I had even better growth then I thought.
