Since its been cold the last 3 weeks, do you notice that your heaters are always on? What temp do you have your tank settings at?

My tank is set to 78.5 and I run two heaters (300w & 200w).

Yep.. heaters always on lately. Tank stays 74-75. Occasionally 76 when lights are on.

mine have been on a lot too. looking at reeftronics.com my temp has been dropping down to 77.3. we don't turn our houses heater on so the house gets down to 62 at night... sometimes even lower

Yeah I usually save $$ on power in the winter because the chiller doesn't turn on but my heaters are constantly on now. My house ambient temp drops under 60 deg and you also can see my Amps are up because of the heaters.

Mine runs around 78. Seems they are always on though, or at least afew of them are. I've got 4 heaters on the tank. Plus the Sun room is not heated.

I run a space heater to compensate so that the 1500w of heat in the garage arent running all day and night. I also keep the system at 74-75 in the winter to keep the bills down.
